i have (finally) started using sublime text 2, , liking far (apart lack of intellisense / autocompletion :(, though tried codeintel not expected), moving netbeans (can't afford use because of memory eating nature :(). anyway current issue don't know how can use latest update of sublime text 2 (portable on windows), kept prompting me update , once listened , downloaded new version there no step involved in updating existing version new 1 instead have portable version newer files, , issue have install several plugins in old version , don't know how can use in new version :(.
note: started saying me version has expired thats why seeking can use new version installed plugins (emmet, js minifier etc etc :().
i have googled alot found no windows based guide helps me solve issue :(.

assume old version installed in sublime.old, , new version in sublime.new. make sure sublime text 2 closed, move sublime.new\data folder someplace else (like desktop, now), in case breaks. then, copy (don't move) sublime.old\data folder sublime.new. fire program , check see there, , works properly. please note method will not work when upgrading st2 st3, there major differences in way plugins run.
