say have box background, starts white , ends in black. alright, there's smaller box inside box. now, there's smaller box inside smaller box. again, smaller box inside previous box.
in situation, boxes divs. want background of smallest div reflect background of largest div. since background of largest div gradient, can't slap same gradient on background of smallest div. i've got somehow make 2 parent divs transparent in areas smallest div covers. way achieve this?

you can apply background:transparent; smaller box in style attribute.
