so i've got project @ work involves biometric authentication. reading understand giant mess lots of vendor-specific methods of doing things, have looked in few solutions. managed authentication against windows user accounts working through windows biometric framework, far ideal. i'd either retrieve raw image of print can process myself using openafis or similar library, or sort of unique key or other hash value used identify user. understand possible via wbf , winbiocapturesample haven't played yet. i'm happy work in programming language, although preferably c# or java, , preferably not c++ since i'm far expert (building interop wbf killed me!)
really i'd hear who's ever implemented system involving fingerprints , how went it! i'm trying avoid expensive sdks (and of them expensive) if there's cheap 1 out there works i'd happy pay it.
as far hardware, have access 2 sensors right both based on authentec aes1610, although hardware final project hasn't been acquired yet , can therefore - whatever's easiest! i'm assuming contacting authentec details on sdk futile since developer page says they're no longer offering :/
so... thoughts?
