Sending emails using PHP -

i designing contact form on website , despite tutorials followed online work, isn't working.

i using xampp windows , know need change php.ini , sendmail no matter how change smtp settings, cannot contact form work.

could please give me up-to-date explanation of how whole procedure works?

i planning put website online eventually. when comes, suppose php.ini , sendmail file xampp won't matter anymore right? how work on web server?

don't forget set valid smtp in php.ini because sendmail not used on windows. use isp's smtp.
