your best bet create initial 3d asset in third party tool , import ide. there can change texture map, , manipulate aesthetics in 1 way or another, initial 3d model should in external 3d format, , placed prefab world.

creating object dynamically in udk cumbersome , requires lots of tweaking, , won't save in terms of cost of resources. if want , more 3d meshes thrown rudimentarily. possible, not worth it, if have 3dsmax, maya, cinema4d, motionbuilder, or 1 of other hundred tools available grunt work you.

most 3d engines (ie unity, udk, torque, cry , havok) support many formats, , unversal fbx. use google sketchup , export dae or fbx format engine. grant lose lot of elements, basic 3d mesh stays relatively in tact.
