hadoop - Migration from Azure HDInsight to Amazon EMR? -

need big data experts.

we have started building product, has big data requirements, , have chosen hadoop. don't have lot of experience big data.

for our cloud platform , hadoop, trying choose between azure hdinsight , amazon aws emr. our product built using .net , using azure existing product. have experience aws, though not on hadoop yet.

now, know azure not mature emr, , aws better bet, @ least next couple of years. easier develop on azure .net, , save upfront costs using it.

so, thinking of building beta version of product on azure, validate , benchmark performance. backup plan, if required move aws , emr final product.

my questions - how difficult migrate hdinsight emr? how of our code have change migration? hdinsight offers emr doesn't?

i have tried searching on net answers haven't found clear ones yet.

i have come upon same situation except software stack consists of python , possibility of jvm based languages.

since sounds leaning towards using .net framework, azure hdinsight may choice you. if hdinsight's docs, clear underlying os windows. such, engineering application around hdinsight .net requirement seems logical.
